HOW TO USE AUTOSPEC.CO.ZA
You can search for products in 1 of 3 ways, by MANUFACTURER, By PRODUCT CATEGORY or using the Keyword search bar.
1a. SEARCH BY MANUFACTURER
From the Home page click MANUFACTURERS and hold your mouse pointer to the right hand edge of the graphics to scroll the graphics to the left and navigate to the manufacturer you require.

| 1b. Once you have clicked on the manufacturer, the product ranges they offer will display. Hovering your mouse of the images will tell you what those ranges are. |  | | 1b. |

| 1c. Click on the range you desire and thumbnails of the products will display for you to browse through. |  | | 1c. |

| 1d. You can click on a thumbnail to enlarge it and you can enlarge a number of them and compare them on the screen. |  | | 1d. |

| 1e. Once you have browsed, you can begin the specification process by clicking SPECIFY. AutoSpec will ask you to select an option from a list in order to derive the best fit product for your purpose. You may enlarge the graphics to which data sheets and CAD drawings are attached. |  | | 1e. |

| 1f. Once you have selected all options the derived specification will be displayed. To check what you selected you can click on the HISTORY button. |  | | 1f. |

| 1g. Should you wish to view the manufacturers in and alphabetic list, click on RATHER SEE LIST VIEW. |  | | 1g. |

2a. SEARCH BY PRODUCT CATEGORY
On the HOME page click PRODUCT CATEGORIES. This will allow you to search for categories of products and display all the manufacturers in that category. This will allow you to see a comprehensive list of manufacturers which fir into you selected category. If you search for roof tiles select concrete and click 'Go'. |  | | 2a. | 2b. All manufacturers of concrete roof tiles in AutoSpec will be displayed and then you can start the browse or specification process. |  | | 2b. |

| 2c. Alternatively, you can search for products by entering a phrase in the search box and click search. |  | | 2c. |

| 2d. AutoSpec will return you the manufacturers ranked according to relevance. You can view the results by RANGES, MANUFACTURERS or PRODUCT CATEGORIES. |  | | 2d. |

| 2e. Select a manufacturer and begin the browse and specification process. |  | | 2e. |

2f. Once you have browsed you will see two options for creating a specification, i.e. SPECIFY using PowerSpec or by using SPECTREE which is a new graphical tree specification system.
Note: SPECTREE is not available for certain ranges. |  | | 2f. |

| 3a. Click SPECTREE and you will see this. Click on the node of your choice. The SPECTREE will allow you to see the options that are coming giving you a clearer picture of what you can choose. |  | | 3a. |

| 3b. Click on the graphics to compare colours (as shown). |  | | 3b. |

| 3c. Once you have clicked the final option the specification will be displayed. Click FINISH and you will be able to email the specification to yourself. |  | | 3c. |
