        • duracure acrylic

          duracure acrylic

duracure acrylic is a water-based, slightly viscous, acrylic emulsion solution which dries to a colourless stain free surface when applied to concrete. duracure acrylic conforms to ASTM C309-19 Type 1 Class B.

          USES:
duracure acrylic is an economical method to assist in efficient concrete curing. The product acts chemically with the hydroxides produced by the hydration of cement to form a dense porefilling crystalline structure that in turn reduces the water evaporation rate from the concrete surface. The presence and retention of water in concrete is essential to ensure adequate strength development and minimise initial plastic shrinkage crack development.

          ADVANTAGES:
          • Compatible for water retaining structures (potable water)
          • Economical, single application reduces incidence of shrinkage cracks
          • Promotes better strength gain characteristics
          • No film breakdown period involved
          • Does not interfere with subsequent concrete surface treatments (paints, emulsions, sealants adhesive, renders, tile adhesives, etc.)

        • duracure WB

          duracure WB

duracure WB is a low viscosity wax emulsion. The formulation of duracure WB ensures that the emulsion breaks down to form a non-penetrating continuous film immediately upon contact with the cementitious surface.
This film prevents excessive water evaporation which permits more efficient cement hydration.
duracure WB conforms to ASTM C309-19 Type 1 Class A.

          USES:
duracure WB provides a spray or brush applied temporary

      • Mortars

        • abefix TBM (thin bed mortar)

          abefix TBM (thin bed mortar)

abefix TBM is a polymer modified cement based mortar
adhesive which is used to bond concrete blocks/bricks together instead of the more time consuming traditional thick mortar bedding system. The action of abefix TBM is to provide a thin but very strong bond between block/brick faces due to the optimum curing conditions gained by the modified cement within the product.

          USES:
Blocks having low tolerances and smooth bonding faces can be laid very rapidly when using abefix TBM.
          • Interlocking blocks bonded together using abefix TBM
provides a very strong wall as opposed to conventional
          mortar.
          • Blocks/bricks built with the “mortarless” system often need additional strengthening at corners and around openings.
By using abe.®fix TBM at these points it is possible to create these strengthened areas without the block or brick work going out of level.

          ADVANTAGES:
          • Excellent adhesion and bond strength.
          • Easy to apply.
          • Stronger than conventional block mortar.
          • More resistant to liquid penetration than plain mortar.
          • Polymer modified cementitious content reduces the risk of block de-bonding.
          • Reduced working time thus greatly speeding up the
          application process of block laying.
          • Dustless technology reduces health risks and area
          contamination.
          • Low product wastage due to the process.
          • After 12 hours the bond strength exceeds that of
          conventional mortar.
          • Forms a water resistant barrier between joints.

          durajoint SW-B

The durajoint SW-B is based on well established technology and is an economical bentonite type swelling waterstop tape.

          USES:
durajoint SW-B is specifically for use of cold joint sealing of insitu concrete construction. Integral sealing for construction joints in cast in-situ concrete where conventional waterstops are impractical to use such as in restricted space or access situations. Service pipe penetrations.

          ADVANTAGES:
          • Self-injecting behaviour during the swelling process.
          • Swelling into the direction of the lowest resistance.
          • Seals in two phases.
          - First phase: sealing by immediate swelling.
          - Second phase: sealing by crystallization.
          • High swelling capacity into the concrete honeycombs, cracks and joints to seal them (penetrates deep into the concrete structure and seals the cold joints permanent and securely).
          • Ease of installation, nailing, bonding or casting into joint
          face.
          • Swelling and shrinkage are infinitely reversible (unaffected
by long term wet/dry cycling). High mineral portion, hence
no fatigue of materials: Sodium-bentonite reacts even after
          decades of use.
          • Salt tolerant in concrete and ground water conditions.
          • Tested and approved up to 7 bar water pressure.

          • Expansion up to 400%.
          • Stable during the swelling process.
          • Developed for the successful use in tunnels in pressure
conditions up to 5 bar water pressures.
          • Under conditions of confinement will mould itself to exert
pressure evenly on the surrounding surfaces, even when
these are rough and the gaps to be filled are of uneven size.
This feature assures a good waterproof seal without the need for any sort of high-compression force.
