  • What is Autospec?

    Autospec was designed for architects, quantity surveyors, interior designers and home owners looking for just the right products for their specific needs. With hundreds of South Africa’s top product manufacturers on our library, our automated system makes it possible for absolutely anyone to create a spec sheet in minutes.

    Autospec intuitively guides you to the products you need. It keeps you informed every step of the way so you can make the right selections quickly successfully moving your project ahead. Our database of over 2500 cross-category product ranges is updated regularly, so you can be sure of availability.

  • How do I use Autospec?

    STEP 1 Search

    We have made searching for a product easy. You can find products by doing any of the following:


    • Search by Brand
    • Search by Category
    • Search by Keyword

    Your search will direct you to one or more product ranges for you to select from. Each product range will give you an image preview (if available) of the products available and give you an indication of what the range offers with various icons.

    Look out for these icons which indicates what the range offers

    • Products are SABS approved
    • Cad Drawings are available when logged in
    • Revit is available when logged in
    • Pricing is available with a final specification
    • Products are Ecospecifier certified
    • Products are Greentag certified

    STEP 2 Browse

    Once you have found a product range you're interested in click the range name to view more images and product info associated with that range.
    Enlarge images and send a message to the manufacturer requesting either a quote or a sample of the product.


    STEP 3 Write a Specification

    From the browse screen you can select 'Write a Specification' to help you select the right product for you through a series of Prompts and Responses. At the end of this process you will have a complete specification to use in your projects, drawings etc and a price (where availalbe). You'll need to login to Specify.


  • Do I need to register for an account?

    You do not need an account to search and browse products. A login is required to write a specification and access CAD and Revit drawings.
