How do I search for a product
The AutoSpec search screen provides you with a number of convenient ways to best locate the product you are seeking. The search screen opens by default when you launch AutoSpec. You can easily return to the search screen by clicking the Search for Products tab in the top left of the screen.

Product Category Search
Search for products of a similar category. Selecting a category will usually trigger a second and/or third listing to appear showing sub-categories. You are able to search for 'Brickwork' as a whole, but the sub-categories allow you to further refine your results. Once you have selected a category click Search. Narrow your search as much as possible to make it easier to find your product. -
Manufacturer Search
Select the name of the Manufacturer and click Search to begin. This will yield results of every product that the particular manufacturer offers. -
Keyword search
Type in one or a combination of words into the keywords search box and click Search. AutoSpec will rank the search results based on how well it thinks a product matches your criteria. Try to avoid being vague and searching for "paint" and make use of codes or particular brand names eg. velvaglo.
Click the Search for Products tab to return to the main search page when you are ready to carry out a new search.
How do I make use of my search results?
The AutoSpec Search Results screen displays the products that match your search criteria and allows you to specify a product.

How your results are arranged
AutoSpec groups the search results by manufacturer. Your results may be grouped in 'so-called' rankings if AutoSpec thinks that some results are better matched to your search than others. Click on the logo of the manufacturer you wish to specify to view products. -
How products are displayed in the search results screen
Products are initially displayed in a condensed view of the product range showing its name, some sample graphics and product thumbnails. To start specifying products click on the grey folder in the top left hand corner.
